There are two ways in which the MiniProf Brake can be mounted. One way is by mounting the instrument magnetically to the vertical part of the wheel. By mounting onto the backside of the flange or on the outer side, it uses these parts of the wheel as reference points for measurement. The second way to mount the MiniProf Brake is by magnetically attaching the unit to the outer diameter of the brake disc with magnetic rollers. The rollers operate by aligning with the wear marker on the disc which then acts as the reference point for measurements.

Accuracy is better than ±11 µm with a repeatability of ±2.5 µm.
