PAT testing, (Portable Appliance Testing) is simply the inspection of different types of equipment to make sure they meet health and safety regulations. What’s crucial about PAT testing is that it often picks up issues that cannot be detected by a visual assessment.
Regular PAT testing ensures that your business stays compliant with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, which states that any electrical equipment that could potentially cause industry is maintained in a safe condition.
We offer a PAT testing service and we’re able to provide ‘one-off’ or regular appliance test services across the UK.
When our engineers PAT test they use visual inspections and electrical tests on all your equipment using specialist PAT testing equipment. These include earth continuity and insulation tests with additional polarity tests for flexible cables.
After PAT testing every appliance will be classed as passed or failed and a sticker will be applied to all equipment that is compliant and has therefore passed the PAT test.
